In September

Since it’s the last day of September and it’s been a very busy/hectic month, I decided I would make a list of everything that happen. I think it’s a good way to look back and see what you have accomplished, or wish you hadn’t… Because we all know that a lot has happened.

  • I went to my first Al-Anon meeting in NYC
  • I almost had a nervous breakdown
  • C broke up with me
  • I cried myself to sleep for almost two weeks
  • I started seeing a therapist
  • Roommates and I hosted our first party in our apartment
  • I went to my first fancy dinner in NYC with a view of the Statue of Liberty
  • I found out my internship was revoked
  • I went to the gym several times each week
  • I went to my first blogging meet-up!
  • I went to the Martha Stewart blogging show
  • I turned 24 years old
  • I saw The Women
  • I celebrated my birthday at a wine bar with some great friends
  • I made out with a really cute guy on my birthday
  • He asked for my phone number
  • I went on two dates with the new guy
  • I bought a lot of new clothes
  • I went to two interviews in the same day
  • I got a new internship
  • I got fingerprinted
  • I saw Choke
  • I babysat several times, once at The Museum of Natural History
  • I watched a lot of television
  • I spoke with C several times
  • I never regretted the break up
  • I missed my dad every single day
  • I had a horrible head cold for over a week
  • I’m pretty sure I lost a few pounds due to the loss of appetite from the head cold
  • I went from being miserable to being really happy with my life

What happened in your September?

  1. I think you did more in September than I did in all of 2007. You definitely went through a lot but sounds like you came out much stronger for it.

  3. I’m with Sarah. That was more than I did all year. (You know, unless you count “be awesome!” as something list-able.

  7. Wow that is a lot more then I’ve done. I liked this idea and was thinking about doing it on my blog, but then I thought I would just seem pathetic with the lack of stuff that I accomplished this month. lol

Wow, you sure had one action packed September! Mine was more like this:

    – I started writing in my blog again!
    – Tried to give up The Ex cold turkey (kinda failed)
    – Did some damn good shopping.
    – Visited my College Roomie in MD

Kinda seems tame compared to yours! Just found your blog and I love it 🙂

  15. My September:

    – Stayed at an expensive hotel in downtown Chicago.
    – Was disappointed by said hotel.
    – Struggled with school.
    – Failed two tests.
    – Made things official with man friend.
    – Got punished at work.
    – Got involved in some family mucky muck.
    – Gramps got sick.
    – My dad’s girlfriend hugged me and called me her stepdaughter (ew.)
    – Met Lacey.

Looks like we both had crazy months.

My September involved work, sleep, taking care of my grandma, and cleaning. There were a few fun things but I’m hoping October will be better.

  21. I started having nightmares about Sarah Palin, found out it’s possible to eat too much corn on the cob and chased children who were bad.

Your list has so many highs and lows… fingers crossed October is an easier month!
